Neuropsychological Assessment

Neuropsychological assessment is a systematic evaluation of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning that examines how brain processes relate to behavior and everyday abilities. It combines standardized tests, clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and relevant background information to measure domains such as attention, memory, language, executive function, and processing speed, with results interpreted against normative data. In psychology, this approach helps identify patterns associated with neurological, developmental, psychiatric, or medical conditions. Findings can support differential diagnosis, guide treatment and rehabilitation planning, document functional strengths and limitations, and track changes over time in clinical practice and research.
