Percent Correct Visualization

Percent correct visualization is a graphical method for representing accuracy as the percentage of responses that match a defined correct answer or target, making performance patterns easier to interpret. Researchers calculate percent correct by dividing the number of correct responses by the total number of responses and multiplying by 100, then display the result across trials, conditions, participants, or time points. In psychology, this approach supports analysis of learning, memory, perception, attention, and decision-making tasks by revealing changes in performance, differences between experimental conditions, and potential ceiling or floor effects. Clear visualizations can strengthen interpretation and communication of behavioral data.

The present research demonstrates a method to accurately examine dynamic visual acuity (DVA) in myopic subjects with eyeglass correction. Further analysis indicated that the closer the refraction state to emmetropia, the better the eyeglass-corrected binocular DVA is at both 40 and 80 degrees per second.

2023

Source: Laboratory of Dr. Neal Abrams — SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry Determining the composition of a solution is an important analytical and forensic technique. When solutions are made with water, they are referred to as being aqueous, or containing water. The primary component of a solution is referred to as the solvent, and the dissolved minor component is called the solute. The solute is dissolved in the solvent to make a solution. Water is the most common solvent in...

Distance Corrections

To achieve precise distance measurements, especially in surveying and construction, certain corrections must be applied to account for potential sources of error like the standardization errors, temperature variations, and slope adjustments.Standardization error emerges when measurement equipment undergoes changes, such as wear, repairs, or weather impacts. To address this, surveyors compare the equipment’s readings to a standard. This process identifies any deviation that might lead to...

Power Factor Correction

The power transmission to a factory involves the transfer of apparent power, a combination of active and reactive power. The power factor measures how effectively electrical power is converted into useful work output. The ratio of the real power (KW) that does the work to the apparent power (KVA) supplied to the circuit. A poor power factor means the inductive electrical load absorbs more reactive power, causing a low lagging power factor. This results in large voltage drops across the load...
