G proteinine bağlı reseptörler veya GPCR'ler, heterotrimerik G proteinleri ile ilişkili olan ve ışık, hormonlar, sitokinler ve nörotransmiterler gibi sinyallere hücresel yanıta aracılık eden hücre yüzeyi reseptörleridir.
Tüm GPCR'ler, bir G proteinini bağlayan alternatif sitozolik halkalar ve ligandı bağlayan hücre dışı döngülerle ayrılmış yedi transmembran alfa sarmalı içerir.
Ligandların yokluğunda, bir GPCR aktif değildir.
Ligand bağlanması, GPCR'nin sitozolik döngüsünde konformasyonel bir değişikliğe neden olur. Aktive edilmiş GPCR artık bir reseptör-G protein kompleksi oluşturmak için aktif olmayan GDP'ye bağlı G proteinini artan afinite ile bağlayabilir.

G Protein-coupled Receptors

G Protein-Birleşik Reseptörler veya GPCR'ler, heterotrimerik G proteinleri ile geçici olarak birleşen ve ışık, koku, hormon, sitokinler veya nörotransmitterler gibi duyusal uyaranlara uygun bir tepkiyi indükleyen membrana bağlı reseptörlerdir. GPCR'lere aynı zamanda heptahelikal, 7TM veya serpantin reseptörleri de denir ve silindirik bir çekirdek oluşturmak üzere çift tabakayı kapsayan yedi (H1-H7) transmembran alfa sarmalından oluşur. Transmembran helisleri üç hücre dışı halka ve üç sitozolik halka ile bağlanır. Hücre dışı halkalarla birlikte transmembran alfa helisleri, GPCR'nin merkezi ligand bağlama cebini oluşturur. Buna karşılık üçüncü sitozolik halka, heterotrimerik G proteini bağlanma bölgesi olarak işlev görür. Ligand bağlanması, GPCR'leri konformasyonel bir değişime uğradıkça aktive eder ve ayrıca heterotrimerik G proteinlerine yüksek afiniteyle bağlanır. g protein-coupled receptor signaling

G protein-coupled receptors are a major class of cell-surface receptors. They help cells detect signals outside the cell and pass that information inward. These receptors are important in many kinds of cell communication.

When a signal binds to a G protein-coupled receptor, the receptor changes shape. That change activates a G protein inside the cell. The activated G protein can then start a signaling pathway.

This signaling system includes the receptor, the G protein, and the downstream response. It allows cells to respond to specific signals in a controlled way. G protein-coupled receptors are studied because they play a central role in how cells react to their environment.
