Correlation and Regression

Regresyon ve korelasyon, iki değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi inceleyen istatistiksel tekniklerdir. 
Regresyon, bir değişkendeki değişikliğin neden olduğu bir değişkendeki değişikliği anlamak için kullanılırken, korelasyon, iki değişken arasındaki doğrusal korelasyonun gücünü ve yönünü ölçer.

Correlation and regression are used to study the relationship between two variables. Correlation shows how strongly the variables are associated. Regression helps describe that relationship with a line that can be used for prediction.

In linear regression, the relationship is written as a correlation coefficient. This coefficient is shown as r and ranges from -1 to +1. A positive value means the variables move in the same direction. A negative value means they move in opposite directions.

Values close to +1 or -1 show a strong correlation. A value near zero means there is no linear correlation. Statisticians use linear regression to find both the correlation coefficient and the best-fit equation.

The best-fit equation can then be used to predict a signal value, or y, in the linear equation. It can also be used to calculate the concentration of the substance that gives the signal, or x. This makes correlation and regression useful tools for analyzing data and making predictions.
