Sustainability Reporting

Sustainability reporting is the structured disclosure of an organization’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts, risks, opportunities, and performance, helping stakeholders assess how its activities affect people, ecosystems, and long-term value. In accounting contexts, organizations identify material topics, collect and verify qualitative and quantitative data, and communicate results through standardized indicators, targets, policies, and management practices alongside financial information. These reports support transparency, accountability, risk management, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making, while enabling comparisons across organizations and over time. As reporting expectations evolve, reliable sustainability data increasingly connects nonfinancial performance with corporate governance and financial planning.
