Lymphatic Vasculature Imaging

Lymphatic vasculature imaging is a set of methods used to visualize lymphatic vessels and fluid movement in living tissues, enabling study of how immune cells, antigens, and pathogens travel through the lymphatic system. It works by combining anatomical imaging with lymph-targeted tracers, fluorescent labels, or contrast agents that enter lymph and reveal vessel structure, drainage, and transport under defined conditions. In immunology and infection research, these approaches help track antigen delivery to lymph nodes, assess inflammation or infection-associated remodeling, and evaluate immune responses or therapeutic interventions. Quantitative imaging can connect lymphatic dysfunction with impaired host defense and improve understanding of disease progression.
