Personality Shaping

Personality shaping is the psychological process through which relatively stable patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving develop and change across a person’s life. It reflects ongoing interactions between biological dispositions, learning, social relationships, culture, and significant experiences, with reinforcement and observational learning helping to strengthen or modify behavioral tendencies. In psychology, studying personality shaping supports research on development, identity, resilience, and individual differences. Its insights inform psychotherapy, education, parenting, and organizational practices by clarifying how environments and targeted experiences may promote adaptive traits, coping strategies, and healthier patterns of social behavior.

Molecular Shape and Polarity

Dipole Moment of a Molecule Polar covalent bonds connect two atoms with differing electronegativities, leaving one atom with a partial positive charge (δ+) and the other atom with a partial negative charge (δ–), as the electrons are pulled toward the more electronegative atom. This separation of charge gives rise to a bond dipole moment. The magnitude of a bond dipole moment is represented by the Greek letter mu (µ) and is given by the formula shown here, where Q is the magnitude of the...

Overview of VSEPR Theory Valence shell electron-pair repulsion theory (VSEPR theory) enables us to predict the molecular structure, including approximate bond angles around a central atom, of a molecule from an examination of the number of bonds and lone electron pairs in its Lewis structure. The VSEPR model assumes that electron pairs in the valence shell of a central atom will adopt an arrangement that minimizes repulsions between these electron pairs by maximizing the distance between them.

Two adjacent fluids passing through a grooved microfluidic channel can be directed to form a sheath around a prepolymer core; thereby determining both shape and cross-section. Photoinitiated polymerization, such as thiol click chemistry, is well suited for rapidly solidifying the core fluid into a microfiber with predetermined size and shape.
