Q1: What is the difference between associative and non-associative learning?
Associative learning creates a link between two stimuli that produces a specific response, like Pavlov's dogs salivating at a bell's sound. Non-associative learning results from repeated exposure to a single stimulus, including habituation, which reduces responsiveness to routine stimuli like traffic noise, and sensitization, which increases response to stimuli like ambulance sirens.
