This article details a method for isolating lipids from human peripheral blood-derived neutrophils using a biphasic solvent system. The process involves the use of methanol and chloroform to solubilize different lipid classes, followed by centrifugation to separate components.
Reliable isolation of lipid fractions from human neutrophils enables mechanistic studies of immune cell lipidomics, supporting target validation and pathway de-risking in early discovery. Quantitative extraction and partitioning of lipid classes underpin reproducible assay development and translational biomarker research. This workflow strengthens predictive confidence for immune-modulating therapeutic programs and portfolio triage decisions.
This biphasic lipid isolation method fits at the interface of early discovery and assay development, providing standardized lipid fractions for downstream mechanistic and translational studies.
