Her er en protokol forelægges identificere kinesin-1 ladninger. En motorless mutant af kinesin-1 tung kæde (KIF5B) aggregater i cytoplasmaet og inducerer sammenlægning af sine laster. Begge aggregater opdages under fluorescensmikroskopi. En lignende strategi kan anvendes til at identificere laster af andre motordrevne proteiner.
