Här presenterar vi ett protokoll för att studera den molekylära mekanismen av proton flyttning över lipid membran av enda liposomer, med cytokrom bo3 som exempel. Att kombinera elektrokemi och fluorescensmikroskopi, pH-förändringar i lumen av enstaka blåsor, som innehåller enstaka eller flera enzym, kan identifieras och analyseras individuellt.
