Een betrouwbare niet-invasieve benadering voor functionele beoordeling van het donorhart tijdens normotherme ex situ hartperfusie (NESP) ontbreekt. We beschrijven hierin een protocol voor ex situ beoordeling van myocardiale prestaties met behulp van de epicardiale echocardiografie en geleidingskathetermethode.
