يمكن كسر روابط الأدينوسين ثلاثي الفوسفات (ATP) من خلال إضافة الماء ، وإطلاق مجموعة أو مجموعتين من الفوسفات في عملية باعثة للطاقة تسمى التحلل المائي. يحرر هذا التفاعل الطاقة الموجودة في الروابط لاستخدامها في الخلية _ على سبيل المثال ، لتخليق البروتينات من الأحماض الأمينية.

ATP hydrolysis is a key chemical reaction in cells that releases energy. ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, is the molecule cells use to store and transfer energy for many processes.
