Kyf Peptide Coating

KyF peptide coating is a biomolecular surface modification that uses a short peptide layer to alter how an engineered material interacts with its surroundings. When KyF peptides adsorb onto or are tethered to a surface, their amino acid side chains create localized charge, hydrogen-bonding, and aromatic interactions that influence wettability, protein adsorption, and subsequent cell contact. In bioengineering, these coatings can help tailor implantable materials, biosensors, and tissue-engineering scaffolds without changing the bulk material. By controlling interfacial chemistry, KyF coatings provide a tunable strategy for improving biocompatibility, regulating cellular responses, and designing functional biomaterial surfaces.
