Medical Examination

Medical examination is the systematic assessment of a person’s health through medical history, physical evaluation, and, when indicated, diagnostic testing. Clinicians gather symptoms and risk factors, inspect and palpate the body, and interpret laboratory or imaging findings to identify abnormalities, establish a baseline, or guide further investigation. In cancer research, standardized medical examinations help characterize participants, document tumor-related signs, assess treatment effects, and monitor changes over time. Carefully recorded examination findings support clinical trial eligibility, safety evaluation, outcome measurement, and correlations between clinical observations and biological data, strengthening the translation of research results into patient care.
