Clinical Evaluation

Clinical evaluation is the systematic assessment of a person’s health, symptoms, risks, and response to care to support accurate clinical decisions. It combines information from the patient history, physical examination, diagnostic tests, and relevant clinical evidence, then interprets these findings against established criteria and the individual’s condition. In clinical practice and research, evaluation helps identify or refine diagnoses, judge treatment effectiveness and safety, monitor changes over time, and guide subsequent management. Consistent documentation and critical interpretation improve communication among healthcare professionals and provide evidence for patient-centered care, clinical studies, and quality improvement.
