Nanoparticle Formulation

Nanoparticle formulation is the design and preparation of nanoscale carriers that package therapeutic agents while controlling properties such as particle size, surface chemistry, drug loading, and stability. It works by selecting materials and processing conditions that promote particle formation, entrapment or association of the active compound, and controlled interactions with biological fluids and target cells. In clinical research, these formulations can improve the solubility, protection, distribution, and release of medicines, potentially reducing off-target exposure and supporting delivery of drugs that are otherwise difficult to administer. Characterizing size distribution, surface properties, loading efficiency, release behavior, and biocompatibility is essential for evaluating performance and guiding translation.
