Bamboo Gasification

Bamboo gasification is a thermochemical process that converts bamboo biomass into combustible gas, offering an engineering approach to renewable energy production and biomass waste utilization. In a gasifier, controlled heating with limited oxygen drives drying, pyrolysis, oxidation, and reduction, transforming organic material into synthesis gas containing primarily carbon monoxide and hydrogen, along with carbon dioxide, methane, tar, and ash. The resulting syngas can fuel engines, boilers, or other energy systems after appropriate cleaning, while process design influences efficiency, emissions, and gas quality. Research focuses on optimizing reactor conditions, feedstock preparation, and gas cleanup for reliable, sustainable applications.
