Truthfulqa Benchmark

The TruthfulQA Benchmark is an evaluation dataset and test suite designed to measure whether language models produce truthful answers rather than repeating common misconceptions, making it useful for assessing reliability in AI engineering. It presents models with questions that often invite false or misleading responses and compares generated answers using human judgments and automated evaluation approaches, with emphasis on factual accuracy and resistance to learned misconceptions. Engineers use TruthfulQA to benchmark model behavior, compare training or alignment strategies, identify failure modes, and evaluate whether systems communicate dependable information in high-stakes or user-facing settings. Its results can guide safer model design and more targeted testing.

Source: Smaa Koraym at Johns Hopkins University, MD, USA Concentration DependenceExpand In this experiment, you will combine varying concentrations of aqueous HCl and sodium thiosulfate to make solid sulfur, which rapidly gathers into opaque yellow particles at a certain sulfur concentration. Since the reaction solution starts clear and colorless, you can easily tell when it reaches that concentration. You'll use the same test tube and total volume each time, so it will take the same amount...

2017

This work describes a new protocol to assess the ecotoxicity of pollutants, including emerging contaminants such as nanomaterials, using the marine bacterium Vibrio anguillarum. This method allows for the determination of the LC50, or mortality, the concentration that causes a 50% decrease in bacteria culturability, after a 6 h exposure.
