Cfa Injection Protocol

A Cfa injection protocol is a standardized method for administering Complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA), an immunostimulatory formulation used to strengthen antigen-specific immune responses in experimental immunology. CFA combines antigen with a mineral-oil emulsion containing killed mycobacterial components, which activate innate immune pathways, promote local inflammation, and enhance antigen uptake and presentation by antigen-presenting cells. Researchers use this approach to induce robust antibody and T-cell responses, support immunization studies, and establish controlled models of inflammation, autoimmunity, and infection. Careful protocol design and animal-welfare oversight are essential because CFA can produce substantial local and systemic inflammatory effects.

2021

Drosophila melanogaster adult flies have been extensively utilized as model organisms to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying host antimicrobial innate immune responses and microbial infection strategies. To promote the D. melanogaster larva stage as an additional or alternative model system, a larval injection technique is described.

Direct Vagus Nerve Injection Protocol For Rats

2025

We present a protocol for direct vagus nerve injection in rats, enabling drug delivery directly into the nerve without post-injection complications. This method applies to preclinical neurological studies involving autonomic nervous system manipulation. It can be used for direct nerve injection for other nerves in rats and other species, with necessary modifications.

Here, a protocol is presented to assess mouse meningeal lymphatic vessels (MLVs), which play an important role in multiple neurologic diseases. The goal of this protocol is to provide an integrated method that enables both functional evaluation of tracer drainage and detailed morphological characterization of the dorsal MLVs network.
