Chemiluminescence Assay

Chemiluminescence assays are analytical methods that detect and quantify target molecules by measuring light produced during a chemical reaction, offering sensitive readouts for biological analysis. In a chemiluminescent immunoassay, an antibody or antigen is linked to an enzyme label; after binding to the target, the enzyme catalyzes a substrate reaction that emits light, with signal intensity related to the amount of analyte present. These assays support immunology and infection research by measuring pathogen antigens, host antibodies, and other immune markers in clinical or experimental samples, enabling sensitive detection, disease investigation, and evaluation of immune responses.
