Number Order

Number order is the mathematical arrangement of numbers according to their relative values, allowing comparisons such as less than, greater than, or equal to be stated clearly. To order numbers, compare their magnitudes and place them in an ascending or descending sequence; a number line provides a visual model, with values increasing from left to right. This basic principle supports counting, arithmetic, and the interpretation of sequences, measurements, rankings, and numerical data. In mathematics and computing, reliable number order helps identify patterns, organize information, evaluate inequalities, and design procedures that depend on sorting or selecting values.

A protocol to create gene modified human pseudoislets from dispersed human islet cells that are transduced by lentivirus carrying short hairpin RNA (shRNA) is presented. This protocol utilizes readily available enzyme and culture vessels, can be performed easily, and produces genetically modified human pseudoislets suitable for functional and morphological studies.
