Refundable Deposit Program

A refundable deposit program is an economic arrangement in which a person or firm pays money upfront and receives it back after meeting a specified condition, making it a tool for encouraging compliance and responsible behavior. Their effectiveness depends on deposit size, refund conditions, monitoring, and participants’ ability to comply, making program design central to evaluating outcomes.
