Data Analysis Method

A data analysis method is a systematic approach for organizing, examining, and interpreting data to answer research questions and support evidence-based conclusions. In psychology, researchers typically prepare datasets by checking data quality, coding variables, summarizing patterns, and applying statistical tests or visualizations to evaluate relationships, group differences, and changes over time. The selected method depends on the research design, measurement scale, and distribution of the data, with qualitative and quantitative approaches serving different purposes. Careful data analysis helps psychologists assess theories, evaluate interventions, identify meaningful behavioral patterns, and communicate findings with greater clarity and reproducibility.

Analysis Methods of Pharmacokinetic Data: Model and Model-Independent Approaches

2025

Drug disposition in the body is a complex process and can be studied using two major approaches: the model and the model-independent approaches. The model approach uses mathematical models to describe changes in drug concentration over time. Pharmacokinetic models help characterize drug behavior in patients, predict drug concentration in the body fluids, calculate optimum dosage regimens, and evaluate the risk of toxicity. However, ensuring that the model fits the experimental data accurately...

The current article describes the basics of multivariate analysis and contrasts it to the more commonly used voxel-wise univariate analysis. Both types of analysis are applied to a clinical-neuroscience data set. Supplementary split-half simulations show better replication of the multivariate results in independent data sets.

Primary data collection is a fundamental aspect of research, providing original information directly from its source. This data is crucial for studies that capture specific, up-to-date insights relevant to the research problem. Depending on the study's objectives, researchers may choose qualitative methods, which focus on gathering non-numerical data to explore complex behaviors, attitudes, and motivations. Qualitative research employs various techniques to gain deeper insights. Open-ended...
