Biography

I am the Director of the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. I hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and received my postdoctoral training in mass spectrometry at the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France. I have been conducting research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for more than 17 years. In each of these positions, I have provided specialized expertise to other investigators on problems related to protein chemistry and proteomics. I have also pursued my own research in the development of mass spectrometry techniques to aid in protein quantitation. I have published over 50 research articles and papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. I have been serving as a reviewer for more than 8 different scientific journals. I am a member of several scientific societies, including the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) and the American Society of Mass Spectrometry (ASMS).
