Dendritische Zellen (DCs) sind Antigen pr&auml;sentiert Zellen f&auml;hig zeigen, da&szlig; spezifische Immunantworten gegen mikrobiellen Infektionen, Transplantation Antigene oder Tumoren. Interessanterweise k&ouml;nnte Mikromilieu Zust&auml;nden wie im Tumor-Einstellungen einen DC-Ph&auml;notyp induzieren, der schlecht immunogen und mit der F&auml;higkeit zur F&ouml;rderung der Angiogenese ist. Wir vermuten, dass diese Plastizit&auml;t entstehen kann, nicht nur durch die Wirkung bestimmter Zytokine oder Wachstumsfaktoren, sondern auch durch die Eigenschaften der Oberfl&auml;chen, mit denen sie, z. B. Komponenten der extrazellul&auml;ren Matrix (ECM interagieren).

Das Zusammenspiel zwischen Fl&auml;chen und l&ouml;sliche Faktoren die immunologischen und angiogenen Eigenschaften der myeloide dendritische Zellen definieren.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are antigen presenting cells capable of inducing specific immune responses against microbial infections, transplant antigens, or tumors. Interestingly, microenvironment conditions such as those present in tumor settings might induce a DC phenotype that is poorly immunogenic and with the capability of promoting angiogenesis. We hypothesize that this plasticity may be caused not only by the action of specific cytokines or growth factors but also by the properties of the surfaces with which they interact, such as extracellular matrix (ECM) components.

The interplay between surfaces and soluble factors define the immunologic and angiogenic properties of myeloid dendritic cells.
