Biography

Kathryn Hatchell is Staff Scientist of Genomics and Informatics with Geisinger National Precision Health near Washington DC and an Honorary Fellow with the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Kathryn received her BS in Human Genetics and her PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 2014 and 2019, respectively. Kathryn’s dissertation was on Precision Medicine approaches for vitamin D deficiency, where she applied methods to ancestrally diverse populations.

Kathryn has interests in business development and translational research that promotes efficient and effective health care for all; Kathryn applies these interests at her current position with Geisinger. At Geisinger, Kathryn is working on the integration of population genomics into healthcare on a national scale.
