Haiyan Wang is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Language and Brain Science, School of Translation Studies, Qufu Normal University at Rizhao City in China. She received her Ph.D from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
During Dr. Wang’s training she developed a keen focus on investigating the neural correlates of sentence processing in healthy older speakers and aphasic patients using on-line measures with eye-tracking and event-related potentials (ERPs). As a visiting scholar (2019-2020) in Aphasia and Neurolinguistics Research Lab, School of Communication Disorders, Northwestern University, US, she is studying the language abilities of patients suffering from primary progressive aphasia (PPA).
Dr. Wang’s research program encompasses using on-line measures with high temporal resolution to discover the neural correlates of verb processing in Chinese aphasic patients, as well as the speech therapy to treat the patients.
