Biography

Joshua Dein is currently a medical student at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Joshua is interested in the etiologies of various neurodegenerative diseases such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and he plans to continue his research endeavors to discover the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of this disease as well as others. In addition, he has an interest in the role that telomerase and telomerase-related enzymes play in the pathogenesis of various types of cancers.

He hopes to continue to be involved in clinical and basic science research as he continues his medical education and beyond.
