Stephanie Angel

Stephanie Angel was a Research Associate in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology in Dr. Robert Stahelin's lab at Purdue University. She received her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology and Physiology with a minor in Abnormal Psychology and research honors and a Masters degree in Structural Biology and Biophysics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

During Stephanie's training she focused on research that encompassed using newly developed methods in electron microscope tomography to reconstruct three-dimensional images of alphavirus infected cells to determine the spatial position of components at molecular resolution and allow the visualization of key viral processes such as virus entry, viral genome packaging and virus assembly. As a Research Associate after her graduate studies in Dr. Stahelin's lab, she focused on studying Ebola and Marburg virus assembly and lipid-protein interactions during virus assembly and virus-like particle formation.

Stephanie has since moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to work at WuXi Advanced Therapies as an Associate Scientist in the Department of Virology Operations.
