Biography

Yaolei Mi is a PhD candidate of Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and currently is working on gene identification and metabolomics of medicinal plants. He received his master degree in biomedical engineering from the university of New South Wales in Sydney. in Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. During his study in UNSW (2014-2017), he completed a project about the effect of native materials on skin wound healing. Here he learned to mimic a 3D skin model and a series of techeques related cell, proteins, and genes. He then moved to the Institute of Chinese Materia Medica to study gene function and metabolomics of medicinal plants.
