Maya received her B.Sc with honors in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from the Technion (2017). As an undergraduate student, Maya joined to her current lab (2015) and together with Dr. Nitzan Krinsky developed synthetic cells for onsite drug delivery. In her current PhD research, Maya is focusing on the cross talk between cancer and the nervous system, and on a new therapeutic approach based on nano-drug carriers that will treat breast cancer by targeting the nerves in the tumor tissue.
