Arthur Seibel

Arthur Seibel is group leader “Bionic Function & Design” and deputy head of department “AM Design” at The Fraunhofer Research Institution for Additive Manufacturing Technologies IAPT in Hamburg, Germany. He received his Diploma and Ph.D. degrees (both with distinction) in Mechanical Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. From 2011 to 2020, Dr. Seibel was Research Associate and Chief Engineer at Workgroup on System Technologies and Engineering Design Methodology, Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany. His research interests include Design for Additive Manufacturing, Soft Robotics, and Engineering Design Methodology. Dr. Seibel is currently pursuing his Habilitation degree in “Systematic Design of Soft Machines”.
