Biography

Ilias Doulamis is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Cardiac Surgery Department of Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Athens in Greece.

As a post-doctoral fellow, he studied the applications of mitochondrial transplantation in providing protection against ischemia reperfusion. Dr. Doulamis received the George and Marie Verogttis fellowship grant from Harvard Medical School for his studies in mitochondrial transplantation in the diabetic heart.
