Hyunbum Kim

Hyunbum Kim is a postdoctoral researcher in Ke Yuan Lab in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. Hyunbum received his B.S. degree in the Department of Biotechnology at Yonsei University in 2014 and M.S./Ph.D. degree in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Seoul National University in 2020.

His current research work is focused on pulmonary vasculature research including pericyte lineage tracing in severe pulmonary hypertension-related with hypoxia-inducible factor 2-alpha signaling pathway, and contribution of RNA-editing in smooth muscle cells to stimulate higher immune response resulting in pulmonary hypertension.
