Teresa Cardoso Delgado finished her PhD in 2009 in the University of Coimbra, Portugal. During this period her studies were mainly centred in the use of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Imaging to assess liver intermediary carbohydrate and lipid metabolism fluxes during the development of insulin resistance. After this period, she moved to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a post-doctoral Researcher to address the nutrient-mediated molecular mechanism underlying the regulation of liver metabolism. Since 2013, she has been working at the liver disease Lab at CIC bioGUNE, initially sponsored by a postdoctoral fellowship from the Spanish Association against cancer (AECC) and since 2018 with the Investigator award also from the AECC.
