Myeloid dendritic cell (mDC) dysfunction during HIV infection may hinder the formation of both innate and adaptive immune responses and contribute to pathogenesis. Our objective was to determine whether circulating factors during chronic HIV infection impair mDC function with respect to secretion of IL-12, a pro-Th1 cytokine, and T-cell stimulatory capacity. Particular focus was placed on the effect of combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) and the role of HIV itself on mDC function.

Plasma factors during chronic HIV-1 infection impair IL-12 secretion by myeloid dendritic cells via a virus-independent pathway.

La dysfonction des cellules dendritiques my&eacute;lo&iuml;des (mDC) au cours de l&#39;infection par le VIH peut entraver la formation de la r&eacute;ponse immunitaire inn&eacute;e et adaptative et contribuer au pathog&eacute;nie. Notre objectif &eacute;tait de d&eacute;terminer si des facteurs circulants au cours de l&#39;infection par le VIH des chroniques alt&eacute;rer la fonction de mDC en ce qui concerne la s&eacute;cr&eacute;tion d&#39;IL-12, un pro-Th1 cytokine et capacit&eacute; de stimulateur de T-cellules. L&#39;accent a &eacute;t&eacute; mis sur l&#39;effet de la polyth&eacute;rapie antir&eacute;trovirale (charrette) et le r&ocirc;le du VIH elle-m&ecirc;me sur la fonction du mDC.

Disfunzione delle cellule dendritiche mieloidi (mDC) durante l&#39;infezione da HIV pu&ograve; ostacolare la formazione della risposta immunitaria sia innata e adattiva e contribuiscono alla patogenesi. Il nostro obiettivo era quello di determinare se i fattori circolanti durante l&#39;infezione cronica da HIV compromettere funzione mDC rispetto alla secrezione di IL-12, una citochina pro-Th1 e capacit&agrave; stimolante delle cellule T. Particolare attenzione fu posta l&#39;effetto della terapia antiretrovirale di combinazione (cART) e il ruolo dell&#39;HIV stessa funzione mDC.

Fattori del plasma durante l&#39;infezione cronica da HIV-1 compromettere la secrezione di IL-12 da cellule dendritiche mieloidi tramite un percorso indipendente dal virus.
