María Consuelo Sáiz Manzanares
María Consuelo Sáiz Manzanares is an Associate Professor of the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Burgos, Spain. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Salamanca (Spain), a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Valladolid (Spain), and a PhD in Industrial Technologies and Civil Engineering from the University of Burgos (Spain). Dr. Sáiz Manzanares has acted as a psychologist in early care teams and as the director of some teams. Her work consisted of the diagnosis of children of different disabilities between 0 and 6 years old and planning suitable interventions. The lines of research that Dr. Sáiz Manzanares has developed are, on the one hand, centered upon the study of developmental processes among children from 0 to 6 years of age with some type of affectation, and, on the other hand, they are centered upon the analysis of learning strategies within Secondary and Higher Education. Likewise, in recent years, Dr. Sáiz Manzanares has added a new field of research, insofar as it involves the application of Artificial Intelligence and Data-Mining techniques to her two main lines of research with children. She has moreover directed the Research Group DATAHES Data Analysis Techniques Applied to Environmental Health Sciences (https://www.ubu.es/data-analysis-techniques-applied-health-environments-sciences-datahes-english) and various competitive research projects within it. She is also the main researcher in several knowledge transfer projects aimed at developing patents related to the two lines of research. All this work is carried out in the Laboratory of Observational and Early Intervention Psychology of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Burgos (Spain).
