It assesses coronary artery disease, plaque buildup severity, congenital cardiac anomalies, cardiac masses, pericardial diseases, and evaluates surgical anatomy before cardiac procedures.

Multidetector CT (MDCT) is a rapid form of cardiac CT that captures multiple slices simultaneously, producing high-resolution, clear images of cardiac structures.
