Moderate Vigorous Pa

Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) is movement performed at an intensity that noticeably increases heart rate and breathing, making it an important measure of health-related behavior. Moderate activity requires effort while allowing conversation, whereas vigorous activity produces faster breathing and greater cardiovascular demand. Researchers assess MVPA through self-reports, activity logs, wearable sensors, or accelerometers to characterize daily movement patterns and sedentary behavior. These measurements support studies of physical activity habits, behavior change, and the relationship between movement and health, while helping evaluate interventions designed to increase activity across populations.

Psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated inflammatory skin disease. The Goeckerman regimen, formulated for the treatment of psoriasis, consists of exposure to ultraviolet B (UVB) light and application of crude coal tar (CCT). The following protocol is for the administration of Goeckerman therapy for the treatment of moderate-to-severe psoriasis.

Here we present a protocol for performing reactions in simple reaction vessels under low-to-moderate pressures of CO2. The reactions can be performed in a variety of vessels simply by administering the carbon dioxide in the form of dry ice, without the need for costly or elaborate equipment or set-ups.

Using Gold-standard Gait Analysis Methods to Assess Experience Effects on Lower-limb Mechanics During Moderate High-heeled Jogging and Running

This study investigated lower-limb kinematics and ground reaction force (GRF) during moderate high-heeled jogging and running. Subjects were divided into groups of experienced wearers and inexperienced wearers. A three-dimensional motion analysis system with a configured force platform captured lower-limb joint movements and GRF.
