Scissor Punch

A scissor punch is a specialized cutting instrument that removes a small, defined piece of biological material for examination or processing. Its opposing, scissor-like blades close around the target, concentrating force along a sharp cutting edge to separate tissue or another specimen with controlled size and shape. In biology and laboratory work, scissor punches support tissue sampling, specimen preparation, and dissection when localized removal is preferred over a broad incision. Consistent samples can improve handling, microscopic evaluation, and comparisons among experimental groups, making the instrument useful in teaching laboratories, biological research, and procedures requiring precise excision.
