Streptomycin Delivery

Streptomycin delivery is the process of administering the aminoglycoside antibiotic to achieve effective exposure at sites of bacterial infection while limiting unwanted effects. After reaching susceptible bacteria, streptomycin binds the 30S ribosomal subunit, disrupts translation initiation, and promotes inaccurate protein synthesis, which can inhibit bacterial growth or cause cell death. Studying delivery routes, dosing conditions, tissue distribution, and cellular uptake helps researchers evaluate how effectively the drug reaches its target. This knowledge supports antibiotic research, treatment planning for infections such as tuberculosis, and the development of strategies that improve therapeutic activity while managing toxicity and resistance.

2014

A microfluidic vortex assisted electroporation platform was developed for sequential delivery of multiple molecules into identical cell populations with precise and independent dosage control. The system’s size based target cell purification step preceding electroporation aided to enhance molecular delivery efficiency and processed cell viability.

Bacterial Delivery of RNAi Effectors: Transkingdom RNAi

For development of RNA interference (RNAi)-based therapies, a novel strategy was developed, transkingdom RNAi (tkRNAi). This technology uses non-pathogenic bacteria to produce and deliver therapeutic short hairpin RNA (shRNA) into target cells. Here, tkRNAi was successfully applied for reversal of classical ABCB1-mediated multidrug resistance (MDR) of cancer cells.

Service Delivery

2024

Service delivery involves the entire service process, from engaging with the customer to delivering the service. A critical aspect is ensuring that services are accessible and timely to meet customer expectations. Unlike physical products, services are intangible and cannot be stored, so they must be delivered precisely when needed. For example, while meal delivery services must arrive at the specified time to maintain quality, automated digital services like software updates or cloud backups...
