Sequencing Data Visualization

Sequencing data visualization is the graphical representation of DNA or RNA sequencing results, making complex genomic measurements easier to inspect, compare, and interpret. It works by converting aligned reads, coverage, base quality, gene expression, or detected variants into plots such as genome browsers, heat maps, and summary charts, allowing researchers to recognize patterns against genomic coordinates or reference samples. In cancer research, these views help evaluate sequencing quality, identify somatic mutations, copy-number changes, and gene-expression signatures, and compare tumors with matched normal tissue or across patients. Clear visualization supports validation, biological interpretation, and communication of findings in studies of tumor evolution and treatment response.
