Cine Loop Acquisition

Cine loop acquisition is a method for capturing and storing a sequence of images as a continuous motion record, allowing dynamic events to be reviewed after they occur. During acquisition, an imaging system rapidly collects successive frames and temporarily stores them in a buffer, which can then be replayed as a cine loop at normal or reduced speed. In engineering, this approach supports analysis of transient motion, fluid behavior, mechanical deformation, and system performance that single images cannot capture. Reviewing recorded frames helps researchers identify timing, movement, and structural changes, improving experimental interpretation, troubleshooting, and validation of imaging or measurement systems.

This study presents a detailed experimental procedure to measure looping dynamics of double-stranded DNA using single-molecule Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET). The protocol also describes how to extract the looping probability density called the J factor.

Catheterization of Intestinal Loops in Ruminants

We describe a novel surgical method for catheterizing 'intestinal loops' within the ileum of sheep. Once animals have recovered from surgery and have cleared antibiotics and analgesics, multiple treatments can be deposited directly in loops via the catheters.

Triggering a Closed-Loop Stimulation by Neuron Spiking Activity

This video demonstrates the operation of closed-loop stimulation in a rat with a surgically implanted device to record neural activity. Neuronal signals are first recorded and analyzed. Template waveforms are then uploaded, and parameters are defined to trigger closed-loop stimulation.

In most cases, excessive hormone production is prevented by negative feedback—a loop that starts with a stimulus inducing the release of a particular substance, like a hormone, to maintain a certain level before triggering a signal that results in a decrease in further release of the hormone. Blood-sugar Levels For example, an increase in blood glucose levels releases the hormone insulin from beta cells of the pancreas into the bloodstream, delivering insulin to cells throughout the body.
