Jib Crane

A jib crane is a lifting device with a horizontal or angled arm, called a jib, that supports a hoist and moves loads within a defined work area. Its jib rotates around a vertical mast or column, while the hoist travels along the arm to raise, lower, and position materials using mechanical or electric power. Jib cranes may be fixed, wall-mounted, or mobile, and their compact design provides localized lifting without requiring a full overhead crane system. In engineering, they improve material handling, assembly, and workstation ergonomics in manufacturing plants, warehouses, construction sites, and maintenance facilities.

Due to the high lipid content, adipose tissue has been challenging to visualize using traditional histological methods. Adipo-Clear is a tissue clearing technique that allows robust labeling and high-resolution volumetric fluorescent imaging of adipose tissue. Here, we describe the methods for sample preparation, pretreatment, staining, clearing, and mounting for imaging.

Here, two murine wound healing models are described, one designed to assess cellular and cytokine wound healing responses and the other to quantify the rate of wound closure. These methods can be used with complex disease models such as diabetes to determine mechanisms of various aspects of poor wound healing.
