Inhibitor-rich Maturation Medium

Inhibitor-rich maturation medium is a specialized cell-culture formulation designed to promote the maturation of developing neural cells by limiting signals that sustain proliferation or an immature state. Its mechanism depends on incorporating pathway-specific inhibitors under controlled culture conditions, shifting cellular behavior toward neuronal differentiation, functional specialization, and maturation rather than continued expansion. In neuroscience research, this medium can help generate more mature in vitro neural models for studying development, neuronal function, and disease-related phenotypes. By improving control over cell state, it supports reproducible experiments and may strengthen the relevance of cultured neurons for drug testing and mechanistic studies.

Inhibitors of Virion Maturation and Assembly

2026

As part of their replication cycle, certain viruses synthesize long precursor proteins called polyproteins within infected host cells. In human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), two major polyproteins are produced: Gag and Gag-Pol. The Gag polyprotein supplies the structural components of the virus, while Gag-Pol includes essential viral enzymes such as reverse transcriptase, integrase, and protease. After synthesis, these polyproteins move to the host cell membrane, where they assemble into an...

Differentiation and Maturation of Human Embryonic Stem Cells into Neural Organoids

2025

In this video, a stepwise protocol for Human embryonic stem cells into neural organoids is demonstrated. The method involves inducing neuronal rosette formation, followed by controlled maturation and final culturing on a hydrophobic membrane to achieve fully developed neural organoids.

The cardiac biowire platform is an in vitro method used to mature human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hPSC-CM) by combining three-dimensional cell cultivation with electrical stimulation. This manuscript presents the detailed setup of the cardiac biowire platform.

Generating Mature Cerebellar Organoids From Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Using Single-Use Bioreactors

2025

This video demonstrates a technique for generating mature cerebellar organoids from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) using a single-use 3D bioreactor. The bioreactor facilitates iPSC aggregate formation, which then undergoes treatment with a series of culture media enriched in growth factors and chemokines that induce the differentiation of the iPSC aggregates into mature cerebellar organoids. Subsequently, the organoids are harvested and cryopreserved for further analysis.

Eukaryotic Transcription Inhibitors

2020

Certain biochemical processes, such as embryonic development and cell growth regulation, depend on the repression of specific genes. DNA binding proteins known as eukaryotic transcription inhibitors regulate the repression of gene expression in eukaryotes. The presence of these inhibitors at the required location and time in the cell is triggered by the presence of hormones and additional signals from other cells. Eukaryotic transcription inhibitors usually contain two distinct domains, a DNA...
