1. 准备绿色和紫色面板
<ol>

2. 准备PVC管
<ol>

3. 安装T型立柱
<ol>
	<li>使用打桩锤将T型立柱安装到指定位置。将立柱打入地下至法兰略低于地表即可，无需进一步加深。即使在强风条件下，T型立柱也能为DD诱捕器提供足够的支撑，无需使用拉线或其他附加支撑。尽管T型立柱无需深埋，但在打入地面之前，建议先检查地下是否有公用设施或埋设管道。</li>
</ol>
4. 组装 DD 捕获装置
<ol>
	<li>将紫色面板折叠成棱柱形。若面板已预先涂胶，请确保粘性面朝外。将两个小折片穿过狭缝，并使用两根8英寸（20厘米）的扎带将面板两端固定在一起。用绿色面板重复上述步骤。</li>
	<li>将PVC管水平支撑在地面上方。将紫色棱镜滑入PVC管，并向下推至PVC管的下排孔位。</li>
	<li>将一根长约2英尺（60厘米）的大型扎带水平穿过棱镜左上方的孔 通过 将线缆穿过PVC管上的这对孔，最后穿过棱镜右侧相邻的孔。确保棱镜紧贴PVC管上位于两孔之间的实心部分。合上并拉紧扎带，确保扎带没有扭曲。</li>

5. 涂抹昆虫胶并设置陷阱
<ol>
	<li>对于未预先涂胶的面板，需涂抹透明昆虫诱捕胶。即使是预先涂胶的面板，通常也需要额外添加胶水以捕获翡翠灰螟甲虫（EAB）。涂抹昆虫诱捕胶时，将PVC管底端置于地面，并将上部棱柱的内面支撑在T型立柱上。</li>
	<li>戴上乳胶（或类似材质）手套，取两到三把胶水，均匀涂抹于面板表面，确保整个面板表面被充分覆盖。旋转PVC管，以便接触两个棱柱的全部三个表面。无需在PVC管本身涂抹胶水。</li>
	<li>拿起PVC管，保持垂直状态，将下端套入T型立柱。注意避免触碰粘性面板。</li>
</ol>
6. 诱饵装置的设置
<ol>
	<li>由于预粘合棱镜通常在一个棱镜面板底边附近带有一个小孔（4 mm），请使用一根4英寸（10 cm）的扎带将一个袋子固定在 顺式将-3-己醇固定在顶部（绿色）棱柱的下边缘。如果无孔，可使用手持打孔器或小刀在塑料上切出一个小孔或狭缝，然后用小扎带将引诱剂固定。 
	注意： 顺式诱饵中的-3-己醇化合物在约10周内缓慢释放。若需使诱捕器持续有效超过10周，请根据需要更换诱饵。</li>
</ol>
7. 检查陷阱中的白蜡窄吉丁虫
<ol>
	<li>如果可能，每隔2至4周检查一次诱捕器，以避免捕获的甲虫丢失，因为甲虫偶尔会从诱捕器上脱落，尤其是在遭遇大雨时。检查下部棱柱的三个侧面是否有 Emerald Ash Borer（EAB）甲虫。然后戴上一次性乳胶手套，将PVC管笔直向上提起并从T型立柱上取下，将上部棱柱的内面靠在T型立柱上，从而暴露两个棱柱的各一个面板。</li>
	<li>使用镊子移除任何可疑的EAB甲虫，并将其放入可重复密封的塑料样本袋中。</li>
	<li>旋转PVC管，检查两个棱柱全部三个面板上的可疑EAB甲虫，然后将管子重新套回T型立柱上。 
	注意：诱捕器上不可避免会捕获到蝇类、叩头虫及其他各种昆虫。发现EAB甲虫需要敏锐的观察力。初次检查诱捕器时，携带一张照片参考卡可能会有所帮助。</li>

自2002年在美国密歇根州底特律大都会区及邻近的加拿大安大略省温莎市首次发现以来，翡翠灰螟（EAB）（Agrilus planipennis Fairmaire）（鞘翅目：吉丁虫科）已导致数亿棵梣树（Fraxinus spp.）死亡。受感染的梣树、原木和柴火被无意传播，加上甲虫自身的自然扩散，致使EAB目前已在至少27个美国州和两个加拿大省份定殖1。最近的报告表明，EAB已入侵俄罗斯莫斯科，并正在杀死当地的景观用梣树2,3，引发了对其可能进一步扩散至欧洲的额外担忧。已有文献记录显示，北美不同种类的梣树在EAB的寄主偏好性和抗性方面存在种间差异4,5,6,7,8,9，但北美几乎所有梣树物种都可能成为适宜的寄主。在密歇根州和俄亥俄州的部分地区已记录到灾难性的梣树死亡率10,11,12，并伴随着显著的生态和经济影响13,14,15,16。
在城市、居民区和林地环境中，有效检测新发生的 Emerald Ash Borer（EAB）侵染并监测低密度种群，是管理这一入侵性害虫的关键环节。早期发现能够为制定应对策略、争取资金支持以及实施减轻 EAB 危害的措施争取时间。例如，市政管理人员和房主可在幼虫密度上升导致危害加剧、从而降低药剂效果之前，开始使用内吸性杀虫剂处理具有重要价值的景观梣树17,18。同样，发现新的侵染点并掌握 EAB 在局部地区的可靠分布信息，可使林业管理者和土地所有者有机会开展木材采伐、树种更替或其他管理措施，以降低因梣树死亡带来的经济损失或生态影响。
然而，对低密度的 Emerald Ash Borer（EAB）种群进行早期检测、范围界定和有效监测仍然十分困难。通过目视调查来识别新受侵染的白蜡树并不可靠，因为白蜡树在幼虫密度达到中等甚至较高水平之前，很少表现出明显的外部症状或迹象4,19。检测极低密度 EAB 最有效的方法是使用环割白蜡树作为诱捕树19,20,21,22。在春季或初夏，通过移除树干周围一圈外层树皮和韧皮部对白蜡树进行环割，使树木处于胁迫状态，从而增强其对成年 EAB 甲虫的吸引力。在秋季或冬季可将环割后的树木剥皮，以确定 EAB 幼虫的存在及其密度。尽管环割白蜡树已在实际操作中用于 EAB 检测19,23,24,25，但该方法存在一些问题。剥除环割树木的树皮劳动强度大，且寻找适合环割的树木可能较为困难，尤其是在城市或居民区，或需要连续多年开展调查的情况下尤为如此19。
使用诱饵的人工陷阱消除了利用环割白蜡树进行检测时存在的诸多问题。与其他一些重要的森林害虫（如舞毒蛾（Lymantria dispar L）以及部分小蠹亚科（Scolytinae）树皮甲虫）不同，后者可产生远距离作用的性信息素或聚集信息素，而迄今为止尚未发现对 Emerald Ash Borer（EAB）有效的远距离信息素。一种短距离性信息素cis-lactone可能有助于其交配行为26,27，但在田间试验中，含cis-lactone的诱饵并未持续增强EAB对人工陷阱的趋向性28。成虫主要依赖白蜡树叶、树皮和木材释放的挥发性化合物来识别寄主树木并寻找潜在的交配对象29,30,31。已有多种挥发性化合物被评估用于吸引成虫至人工陷阱27,32。目前，美国在EAB检测调查中实际使用的陷阱通常配备含有cis-3-己醇的诱饵，这是一种白蜡树叶片释放的常见绿色叶片挥发物30,33。在过去几年中，美国调查所用的EAB陷阱也曾使用麦努卡油（Manuka oil），该油提取自新西兰茶树（Leptospermum scoparium Forst and Forst），或使用巴西胡桃木油（Phoebe oil），即来自巴西胡桃树（Phoebe porosa Mez.）的提取物；这两种油均含有多种存在于白蜡树皮中的倍半萜类化合物29。然而，由于这些天然油的供应不稳定，其应用受到了限制。

开发一种三棱柱形陷阱，并在其表面涂覆透明昆虫粘胶35以捕获甲虫，是陷阱设计方面的重要改进。成虫对颜色的趋性也已在野外试验和利用视网膜电图仪进行的实验室研究中得到广泛评估34。结果表明，翡翠灰螟甲虫 consistently 被特定色调的绿色和紫色所吸引32,36。目前，由彩色波纹塑料制成的棱柱形陷阱已在美国和加拿大的翡翠灰螟监测活动中被广泛使用。
由于翡翠甲虫成虫对光有强烈趋性，因此它们更倾向于侵染生长在开阔地带的树木，而非荫蔽环境中的树木20,21。美国针对翡翠甲虫的检测调查指南要求，将单个棱镜诱捕器悬挂在道路旁或林地边缘的梣树中层树冠枝条上37。理论上，这可确保棱镜至少有一个面板暴露在阳光下。然而在实际操作中，棱镜诱捕器可能部分被上方枝条或邻近树木遮挡。粘性面板表面常被风吹入植被中，导致叶片附着其上，遮盖住一个或多个面板的部分区域。
双层（DD）陷阱的设计结合了多种视觉和嗅觉线索，以增强对翡翠灰螟甲虫的吸引效果。每个双层陷阱由一个绿色和一个紫色的波纹塑料棱柱组成，固定在一根3米高、直径10厘米的40级聚氯乙烯（PVC）管上，并通过将PVC管套在T型立柱上来支撑。采用绿色和紫色两种棱柱的目的是吸引雌性和雄性翡翠灰螟甲虫32,36,38,39。此外，双层陷阱并不像传统方式那样悬挂在梣树树冠的枝条上，而是放置在阳光充足的地方，位于林地边缘或散生、开阔生长的梣树附近，距离梣树5-10米处。

我们的目标是演示如何搭建、设置和监测双层陷阱，以检测或监控低密度的 Emerald Ash Borer（翡翠灰螟）。如果正确组装和放置，诱饵双层陷阱在捕获低密度种群中的成年 Emerald Ash Borer 甲虫方面，始终比任何其他人工陷阱更有效。在过去 8 年中，我们已在超过 50 个地点开展了 Emerald Ash Borer 诱捕研究。这仍然是我们测试过的最有效的人工诱捕器设计。今天演示该操作程序的是詹姆斯·威费里奇（James Wieferich）和安德鲁·特鲁切克（Andrew Tluczek），他们两位均为我实验室的研究技术员。首先，使用½英寸钻头，在每块已标记的塑料板上距离板顶部4英寸、距离左侧折痕两侧各4英寸处，钻一对孔。接下来准备一根长三米、直径十厘米的PVC管。使用1/2英寸钻头，在PVC管顶端下方四英寸处钻一对孔，两孔间距为3.5英寸，使两孔水平对齐。然后在距离管道顶端52英寸处，沿第一组孔的正下方位置，钻第二对孔，两孔间距为3.5英寸。现在使用立柱冲击器在预定位置安装T型立柱。将立柱打入地下至法兰略低于土壤表面即可，无需进一步加深。导丝或其他辅助支撑物并非必要。接下来，将塑料面板折成三等份，然后将两个小折片穿过狭缝。使用两条8英寸的扎带将面板边缘固定在一起，形成一个三面棱柱体。接下来，将棱柱体套入PVC管，并滑动至下方的一组孔位。然后将一条2英尺长的扎带从棱柱体左上方的孔穿入，穿过PVC管上的孔，再从棱柱体右侧的孔穿出。然后闭合并拉紧扎带，确保扎带没有扭曲。继续操作前，确认棱镜紧贴在两个孔之间的管道上。现在将另一根长扎带从棱镜的底部孔穿入，绕过管道，再从棱镜相邻侧面对应的孔中穿出。像系另一个结一样系紧这个结。下一步是使用与安装紫色棱镜相同的方法，将绿色棱镜固定在管道上方的一组孔上。为捕虫器涂抹昆虫粘胶时，将PVC管的底端放在地面上，并用T型立柱支撑住上方棱镜的内侧表面。使用引诱剂设置诱捕器时，寻找绿色棱柱面板底部边缘附近的一个小孔。然后使用一根4英寸的扎带，将一袋SIS 3-己醇固定在绿色棱柱的下边缘。该引诱剂可持续发挥作用10周或更长时间。佩戴一次性手套，取两到三把胶水，涂抹于面板表面。需彻底涂满面板的三个侧面，即使是预先涂胶的面板，通常也需要额外添加胶水以有效捕捉翡翠灰螟甲虫（EAB）。如果条件允许，应每两到四周检查一次诱捕器，以避免已捕获的甲虫脱落丢失，尤其是在遭遇大雨的情况下。检查下部三棱柱的三个侧面是否有EAB甲虫。然后，戴上一次性乳胶手套，将PVC管垂直向上从T型立柱上取下，将三棱柱的内面倚靠在T型立柱上，使上下两个三棱柱各露出一个面板。接着，将诱捕器从T型立柱上取下，倚靠在T型立柱上，检查上方的绿色三棱柱。使用镊子将棱镜上任何可疑的EAB甲虫取下，并放入可重新密封的塑料样本袋中。诱捕器上不可避免地会捕获到蝇类、叩甲以
