Body Planes

Der menschliche Körper kann mit Hilfe von imaginären Linien und Ebenen unterteilt werden, um seine innere Organisation besser zu verstehen.
Wenn der Körper aufrecht steht, wird eine gerade Linie, die als vertikale Achse bezeichnet wird, als klare und konsistente Referenz verwendet, um die Position der Körperteile und die Bewegungsrichtung zu orientieren.
Zusätzlich wird der Körper durch Ebenen mit imaginären flachen Flächen geschnitten.
Die drei Kardinalkörperebenen sind frontal, sagittal und transversal.
Die frontale oder koronale Ebene unterteilt den Körper in den vorderen und den hinteren Teil.
Die Sagittalebene unterteilt den Körper vertikal in eine rechte und eine linke Seite.
Die gleichmäßige Aufteilung des Körpers durch die Mittellinie führt zu mittleren sagittalen Abschnitten. Im Gegensatz dazu führt der Schnitt durch die parasagittale Ebene zu ungleichen Seiten.
Die Querebene, die senkrecht zur Frontal- und Sagittalebene verläuft, unterteilt den Körper horizontal in einen oberen und einen unteren Bereich.

Körperebenen in der Anatomie sind imaginäre flache Oberflächen, die als Referenzpunkte verwendet werden, um den Körper in Abschnitte für anatomische Studien zu unterteilen. Diese Ebenen sind entscheidend, um die Ausrichtung, Beziehungen und räumliche Organisation anatomischer Strukturen zu verstehen.

 Die sagittale Ebene ist die Ebene, die den Körper oder ein Organ vertikal in rechte und linke Seiten teilt. Wenn diese vertikale Ebene direkt in der Mitte des Körpers verläuft und zu einer gleichmäßigen Teilung führt, wird sie als mittlere sagittale oder mediale Ebene bezeichnet. Wenn sie den Körper in ungleiche rechte und linke Seiten teilt, wird sie als parasagittale Ebene oder seltener als longitudinale Schnittfläche bezeichnet.

 Die frontale Ebene ist die Ebene, die den Körper oder ein Organ in einen vorderen Teil und einen hinteren Teil teilt. Die frontale Ebene wird oft als koronale Ebene bezeichnet. („Corona“ ist Latein für „Krone“.) „Koronal“ bezieht sich normalerweise auf die Schädelabschnitte.

 Die transversale Ebene ist die horizontale Ebene, die den Körper oder ein Organ horizontal in obere und untere Teile teilt. Transversale Ebenen erzeugen Bilder, die als Querschnitte bezeichnet werden. Schräge Schnitte werden diagonal zwischen den horizontalen und vertikalen Ebenen durchgeführt, sind jedoch schwer zu interpretieren.

 Anwendungen

 Bildgebende Verfahren wie Sonographie, Computertomographie oder MRT erstellen unterschiedliche Bilder eines Patienten in einer standardmäßigen anatomischen Position und bauen um den Patienten eine X-Y-Z-Achse auf, um die Körperebenen auf die erhaltenen Bilder anzuwenden. Auch einzelne Organe können durch Ebenen unterteilt werden, um kleinere innere Details zu identifizieren.

 Körperebenen beschreiben auch anatomische Bewegungen, durch die sich ein Körper bewegt. Ein Anatom könnte den Bewegungsumfang eines Gliedes modellieren, indem er misst, durch welche Ebenen es sich bewegen kann und wie weit es reisen kann.

 Anatomische Veränderungen während der embryonalen Entwicklung werden mit Hilfe von Körperebenen gemessen. Zum Beispiel ist die koronale Ebene während der Entwicklung des menschlichen Embryos horizontal, wird aber vertikal, wenn sich der Embryo zum Fötus entwickelt.

Anatomy sections and body planes are imaginary flat surfaces used to divide the body for study. They help show the orientation, relationships, and spatial layout of anatomical structures. These reference planes are also useful for describing organs and body parts in a standard way.

The sagittal plane divides the body or an organ vertically into right and left sides. When that cut goes through the middle and makes equal halves, it is called the midsagittal or median plane. When it makes unequal right and left sides, it is called a parasagittal plane, and it may also be called a longitudinal section.

The frontal plane divides the body or an organ into anterior and posterior parts. The anterior side is the front, and the posterior side is the rear. This plane is also called the coronal plane. The word coronal comes from the Latin word for crown. In anatomy, coronal usually refers to skull sections.

The transverse plane is a horizontal plane that divides the body or an organ into upper and lower parts. Cuts made in this plane are called cross sections. Oblique sections are diagonal cuts between the horizontal and vertical planes, and they can be harder to interpret.

Body planes are also used in medical imaging. Sonography, computed tomography, and MRI create images of a patient in standard anatomical position and build an X-Y-Z axis around the body. The same planes can also divide individual organs to help identify smaller internal details.

These planes also help describe body movement. An anatomist can use them to model a limb’s range of motion by measuring which planes it moves through and how far it travels. Body planes are also used to describe changes during embryological development. For example, in human embryonic development, the coronal plane is horizontal at first and becomes vertical as the embryo develops into a fetus.
