Leistung ist die Geschwindigkeit, mit der Arbeit erledigt wird. Die Formel für die Leistung kann umgestellt werden, um die geleistete Arbeit zu erhalten, wenn die Leistung während eines Prozesses bekannt ist.
Wenn sich die Ausgangsleistung in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit ändert, ist die geleistete Arbeit das Integral der Leistung während dieses Zeitraums, und daher ergibt die Fläche unter der Kurve den Wert der geleisteten Arbeit.
Wenn eine konstante Kraft auf ein Objekt ausgeübt wird, kann die Kraft des Objekts in Bezug auf die auf es wirkende Kraft und die vom Objekt zurückgelegte Verschiebung ausgedrückt werden.
