Die Videokapselendoskopie ist ein diagnostisches Verfahren, bei dem der Magen-Darm-Trakt anhand einer kleinen, enzymresistenten Funkkapsel, die vom Patienten geschluckt wird, sichtbar gemacht wird.
Es wird empfohlen, Erkrankungen wie Morbus Crohn, Polypen und Zöliakie zu diagnostizieren.
Vor dem Eingriff: Der Patient unterzieht sich einer Darmreinigung mit verschriebenen Abführmitteln und hält die NPO acht Stunden lang aufrecht, um eine klare Visualisierung des Magen-Darm-Trakts zu gewährleisten.
